Joust v. 1.0-1.2

Here are my two pieces for the 8-Bit show. It's acrylic on untreated wood panel. I love painting on wood. It gives everything this warm earthy feel. I have notice that many people are also taken to this surface. It's becoming a trend of sorts (unfortunately for me).

The game I chose to re-mix was Joust. Loved this game as a kid but I absolutely sucked at it. I sucked at mos video games. My version is a bit of a mix between Medieval knights and WW1 flying ace samuria warrior dudes.

Rich- these are beautiful. You're right about the warmth of the wood tones, especially beautiful in the bottom piece.

I'm glad I get to see some of these works of art in person. Love the ukelele, too... please post a shot of it.

Dragoncypher, Thank you so much. So you came all the way from NY for Ape? that's quite a trip. I've been extremely busy and haven't had the chance to check e-mails. I'll definitely e-mail you back, though.

Tanner, thanks man.

Steph, merci. Votre blog paraît AWESOME. Everytime que je visite, Il toujours me stupéfie. Vous avez toujours à poster les dessins de san francisco. Je ne peux pas attendre.

Oh naw, I didn't go to Ape. I saw the pieces on G1988's site. I'll be in Cali again though in July for SDCC though. Are you going? If so, I definitely need you to hit up my book, haha.

Rich, where did you learn French?! That's good! You'll need to teach me the American accent now.

any chance there will ever be prints of these (or similar) paintings? I love them but don't think I'd be able to afford the originals...
