Here's some studies of Yosemite National Park from awhile back. I usually visit the park at least a couple times a year and I never get sick of it. However it is so majestic that it becomes such a daunting task for me to capture it. It becomes a matter of how well I can simplify. I'm going to string a few studies from different trips on this post just to show variety of approaches.

Holy cow, Rich! Beautiful painting. I especially love the first one and the ink wash. So glad to see so many inspiring studies at once. Thanks for posting!!
These are so great! i especially love the top one>
Nice, bro.
There's a beautiful simplicity in the approach of these, Rich. It takes a lot of study to be able to lay it down like this and you've really done your homework.
Beautiful!

Beautiful art, man!
My favorite place in the world.
I particularly love the 3rd one from the top.
Beautiful work buddy. Definitely one of my favorite places. I hope our Character art team can do a trip there someday if we ever get a budget. Hell, we should just do it on our own dime.
Nice! these tombo markers are phenomenal
