lately I have not been able to arrive at "The Drawing Club" on time to secure a good seat. I ussually ended up sitting in the back of the room on the couch just shooting the breeze with Bob Kato (and raiding his fridge of ice cold beer.) Needless to say, I often attend these workshop but do very little drawing...at least not of the actual models. Forrest Card is one of Bob's assistant and would constantly be standing around in the back as well. These are my studies of Forrest as he wanders the studio floor.
Forrest is a talented artist that used to intern with us. He now works for an apparel company as a character artist. You can view his blog from the links column.

great sketches....i especially like the one with the doctor frankenstein....great lines, great gesture, great storytelling, great great great...
beautiful drawings.
Love the subtlety of the expression. Awesome, Rich!
Awesome,awesome!!!!!
Wow, Rich. You really have a knack for studying diff't ways of catching a subject. Whether it's me, Stephane or, now, Mr. Card I love watching you attempt to dissect the individual through feverish yet hilarious drawings!
Hope you didn't pay Bob the $20. Hilarious.
You are a horrible, horrible person! But a fine artist nonetheless!
ps. I notice you like drawing guys with their shirts off. Seeing that ALL of them have their shirts on when you draw them, does this mean you...have x-ray vision?
I like the second from the top, his forehead doesn't fit on the page, and it looks very much like him :) Very funny .
fat brick....always impressive stuff
Of course you realize that this means war.
Rich! I love these, of course you know that already. Forrest does not appreciate what he has. If you caricatured me, I would say, "Thank you, sir! May I have another!"
WHAT THE??!?! This looks like a Normal Rockwell sketch if he were CRAZY!
