Zorro

These were done with the amazing Winsor Newton Series 7 brushes...It can load such a ginormous amount of liqiud and yet give such a consistent tip, that I feel I can extend a line for miles...and miles...and miles.

Heavenly to use but my pocket book did take quite a beating. I highly reccomend it for ink, watercolor and gouache. I have a few but I always feel so unworthy that I hardly ever use it. Lately, I would take it out while preparing for a painting but ended up grabbing for the $2.99 piece of sh*t brushes. Pathetic!

This week I'm off to San Francisco to attend a workshop. Should be fun. I'll post some sketches of the city soon.

20 min. poses. acrylic on chip board. Ron Velasco lent me some of his paint to use today...colors I normally would not use but it became a good exercise for me to really focus on controlling the temperature and value on a very limited palette.
